Spending the week of July 4th in Provincetown allowed me to examine the coastal community in a more thorough and unique way. Days spent on picturesque Macmillian Pier gave me the opportunity to meet people from all over the world, live in one of the most eclectic towns in the U.S. and to become friends with many talented local Cape Cod artists. I rented an artist shanty on the pier and sold my photography to locals and tourists alike. But, the real excitement came when I captured the sunlight off this blue and white boat. My eye kept being drawn to the reflection, the deep blue and rich white, and the gold highlights from the sun. Each evening I waited for the right opportunity to catch the reflection off the boat and a few days in, I finally found it. A few exposures later I knew I captured an intriguing and interesting composition: Harbor Reflection.
